Our first attempt at this photo shoot was an epic fail. We took the camera out around 5 PM, which would’ve been just fine for a few cute photos… but then my camera had some technical difficulties. By the time we got it to work again the sun had gone down, meaning that our natural lighting was no more. Not ready to give up we headed back to my house in search of a new backdrop. My untouched white bedroom wall was our only solution in the time frame that we had; so we grabbed my book light and hung it to my ceiling fan so that it would be a sort of “make-shift” spotlight. What’s funny is that it ended up being so much fun. Lots of laughs were exchanged as we tried to come up with cute poses for the other to do that wouldn’t be perceived as cheesy or “too staged.” As for the photos from our pretend studio, they turned out way better than we originally expected. More to come soon.
